People often ask me why I built Beyond Employment. The truth is, my reasons are surprisingly ordinary.
Not about becoming famous. Not about building a huge company. Not about proving anything to anyone.
They're about building a life that feels like mine.
And they are not negotiable.

I want my life back.
I want my life back. The one that gets squeezed between meetings, deadlines, and the constant pressure to be available. I want to decide what matters, where I go, and who I spend the days I have with.

I want to decide how i spend my life.
My time. My attention. My energy. My work. Not because I'm chasing freedom. Because I'm building choice.

I want my health back.
Energy. Mental clarity. Space to think. I don't want success that costs me the ability to enjoy it.

I want my voice.
I want to share what I genuinely think — without worrying whether it's politically acceptable in a corporate meeting.

I want my talent, mine.
Not because I don't value employment. Because I don't believe any organisation should be the only place my expertise creates value.

I want presence with the people i love.
My family. My future children. My dogs. Ordinary Tuesday afternoons that never make it onto LinkedIn — but somehow become the moments that matter most.

I want peace of mind.
Not the kind that comes from pretending everything is fine. The kind that comes from knowing I have options, whatever life throws my way. Money in the bank. Skills that travel. Relationships that matter. A sense of direction that doesn't depend on one employer, one pay slip, or one job title. That is the peace I'm building. Slowly, deliberately, and without apology.
